This series of photos of Cardiff’s well-loved Globe Cinema were taken in the early 1970s just a decade before its closure and demolition. In addition to showing the faded splendour of the public auditorium, there are photos of the projection room, decaying back offices and the ephemera of a suburban picture house as it neared is final days. The book contains a brief history of The Globe together with some of the photographer’s memories of the time.
